Admissions

We know that choosing to enter a treatment program is not an easy decision. But, once that decision is made, getting into a program shouldn’t be difficult. We’ve made our admissions process as easy as possible so that you can focus on what really matters: healing.

Admission Criteria

Admission Criteria for The Camp Recovery Center

All admissions decisions at The Camp are made on a case-by-case basis according to a careful analysis of each potential client’s history, needs, and goals. Part of this review is ensuring that each prospective client meets the following general criteria:

  • Age 14 to 17 (for adolescent/teen program) or age 18 and above (for adult program)
  • Has a primary diagnosis of a substance use disorder
  • Able to safely navigate the rolling hills on our campus
  • Able and willing to participate in group settings
  • Able to independently perform activities of daily living
  • Not a danger to self or others

Please note that while we are prepared to treat individuals whose substance abuse problems are accompanied by certain co-occurring mental health disorders, we cannot accept individuals who have acute mental illness or who otherwise have treatment needs that exceed our capacity for care. We offer a specialized track that includes therapies that are designed to help those who are struggling with co-occurring mental or behavioral health concerns.

If we determine that an individual is not a good fit for our programming, we will be happy to work with him or her, or with his or her family, to provide referrals for other programs that may be better prepared to meet the individual’s needs.

Taking the First Step

Pre-Admission Screening for The Camp Recovery Center

A member of our admissions team will be available to speak with you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Whether you are a potential client or the loved one of someone who can benefit from our services, we are here to answer any questions that you may have. We can review treatment options, complete a pre-admission assessment to determine suitability for our program, and help you make the most informed decision for yourself or on behalf of a loved one.

To ensure that your initial call is as efficient and effective as possible, please have the following information ready to share when you call:

  • Insurance information for verification of benefits
  • Symptoms that the individual has been experiencing
  • Psychiatric history
  • Social history
  • Medical history, including current medications
  • Past addiction treatment history

The information you provide will be reviewed by our staff to ensure that the individual is a good fit for The Camp medically, psychiatrically, and financially. Based on that information, the prospective client will either be cleared for admission or offered treatment referrals that will better meet his or her needs. Once a prospective client is approved for admission, we will begin to make arrangements for his or her arrival and the start of treatment.

The admissions team was awesome. They were patient with me and helped me get situated when I entered treatment, despite being so nervous. I think it shows that they really care and that this isn't just a rehab facility, it's a real treatment center and people come here to get better.
